About Us
The Tanzania Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (TANGO) is the largest and longest standing national umbrella organization serving the Tanzanian NGO community. It was founded in 1988 by 22 NGOs.

According to the new TANGO posture, which is lobbying and advocacy oriented, TANGO will have two main programmes, which are Capacity Building and Lobbying and Advocacy. To achieve the objectives set in the TANGO plan the two programmes will be supported by the Information and Communication, Liaison & Networking functions and the management support activities, each playing a cross cutting role |
